Process

How it came together

  1. Step 01

    Gate sketches in Procreate

I sometimes sketch gates in Procreate on my iPad as a quick visualisation for clients — fast enough to iterate on proportions and ornament in a meeting, clear enough to brief the workshop afterwards.

Procreate sketch of a single pedestrian gate set in a curved brick wall
  2. Step 02

    Wine cellar — hexagonal

A wine cellar built into a hexagonal-shaped space. The angled walls made layout challenging, so I designed blackened steel racks and cabinets that follow the room geometry while keeping bottle access straightforward.

  3. Step 03

    Wine cellar — straight wall

A straight-wall wine cellar designed for a customer who wanted to maximize bottle capacity. Blackened steel racks and cabinets were laid out to optimize every linear metre of wall space.

  4. Step 04

    50× cathedral glass walls

Fifty glazed walls in cathedral glass — engineered for repeatability so the run could be produced without surprises.
